Diana attended St. Anns School before moving with her family, first to Navasota and then to Caldwell. She graduated from Caldwell High School in 1974, attended Texas A&M University and went on to become a 1979 graduate from the University of Texas at Austin with her Bachelors Degree in Business Administration. On May 12, 1979 she married George F. Henry in New Tabor Brethren Church. She then began her career at a Dallas bank and was quickly promoted to Personnel Officer. Diana also worked as Benefits Manager for Austin Community College. After leaving ACC to devote more time to her family, Dianas love for her children led her to become more involved with the childrens programs at her church. She soon joined the staff at Tarrytown United Methodist Church and, as Director of Childrens Ministries, found a true calling. Diana was an avid gardener, and cherished relaxing in her yard. She shared a love of good food with her husband, which led to many memorable trips and enjoyable times with friends. She loved to read and was active with bible study and her Emmaus reunion group. She took joy from helping to develop curriculum for United Methodist Summer Camps. Survivors include her husband, George, son, Travis C. Henry and daughter, Joanna E. Henry, all of Austin; her father Sam Litzenberg and his wife Judy of Longview; brother, Bill Litzenberg of Ooltewah, TN, and Bruce Litzenberg of Irving as well as numerous other family members and a wonderful group of close friends. Diana was a faithful, loving, and caring person. Scores of children who saw and learned of the spirit of Christ through Miss Diana are an enduring legacy. She had wonderful abilities to relate to people of all ages, to thoughtfully analyze situations and to tactfully help others. She will be greatly missed by all.
