Diane served three years in the US Air Force and then received her Master’s Degree from St. Edward’s University in Austin. She worked for Motorola for 19 years and was currently employed by Graves, Dougherty, Hearon and Moody Law Firm.
She was an animal lover (especially her dogs and cats), loved to travel and enjoyed white water rafting, softball, and sports of all kinds. Covenant Presbyterian Church was a big part of Diane’s life where she drove the shuttle and served as a Stephen Minister. Diane was also an excellent writer and poet.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Lillian L. “Dixie” Workman and her brother, S. Craig Workman. Survivors include her father, Gene Workman; step-mother, Eva Workman; step-sisters, Rena Horn and Paula (Tom) Rongish; aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, February 25, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 3003 Northland Drive, Austin.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the SPCA, 124 West Anderson Lane, Austin, TX 78752-1104.
