

Dolores Ann Hensley, age 72, of Austin, went to be with the Lord on Friday, August 5, 2005. Ann was born on November 20, 1932 in Phenix City, Alabama. Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Ellis and Quilla Smith and Clarence and Hettie Pearl Helton; brother, Irvin Smith; and a granddaughter, Kalynn Hensley. Anns greatest joy and accomplishment was being a devoted wife to Lt. Col. Carl E. Hensley, who preceded her in death in 1971, and being a loving mother to Chuck Hensley and wife Terry, Karla Florhaug and husband Steve, Danny Hensley and wife Anita, Laurie Downey and husband Ronnie, Cheryl Carrol and husband Steve, Tommy Hensley and wife Misty; 18 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She leaves behind her sister, Sandra Hendrix and husband Donny; brother, David Smith and wife Lisa; and many other family members and friends. The family wishes to thank Dr. Paul Tucker and staff; Dr. Ted Wallis and staff, Monsignor Fred Bomar and Wally Houghton for their love and care for mom during her illness. Funeral Mass will be said at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, August 10, 2005 at St. Peter the Apostle Church with Monsignor Fred Bomar, Celebrant.
