

Our dearest friends and family on August 11, 2025, at the age of 88, our beloved mother passed away. Dolores was born in Austin, Tx 1937. Her parents were Mr. and Mrs. Gregory Vasquez Sr. who were born in Mexico. My mother’s family made a life here in the U.S. She went to school in Austin, Tx, and as she grew older married our father Simon R Salazar and started a new life. Dolores had 4 children Robert, Rudolf, Samuel and daughter Linda. She was a devoted mother and cared for her family through the years.
She is survived by 5 grandchildren.
Linda Salazar, Robert Salazar, Luis Arreola, Derek Salazar, and Krystalina Montalvo. She was a devoted mother and grandmother that cared for her family. Our mother worked as a housekeeper for 20 years at the Austin State school, once retired lived a happy life. She loved gardening white roses were her favorite, she would sing all the time, 2 of her favorites were “She’ll be Comin’ Round the Mountain” and “Jambalaya on the Bayou” by Hank Williams Sr.
She loved dancing at weddings. Our mother accomplished her GED, she was happy. Our mother had great faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. She can now rest in a beautiful place, The Kingdom of God she has gone home, enough for now. Rest in Peace mom, you have always been loved.
