

Donald Skrabanek of Austin, Texas unexpectedly passed away on Thursday, February 26 at the age of 63. Donald was born on November 18, 1951 in Baytown, Texas and grew up in Highlands, Texas. He made the move to Austin in the late 1970s and has been a resident ever since, teaching English at Austin Community College and raising two daughters, Alana and Ava, with wife Anne Souby.
Donald was a man of many hobbies, and was always working on his latest project. He enjoyed spending time with his granddaughter, working on his book, The Servant Girl Annihilators, watching movies with his wife, and being outdoors at his home in the country.
Donald's spirit, his humor, his helpfulness, and his intelligence will certainly be missed.
Donald is survived by his wife of 33 years, Anne Souby; daughter Alana, her husband Brittan and granddaughter Marlie; daughter Ava and her husband Derek; mother Alice; brothers Kenneth, Mike, and Jim; sister Kay; and many other relatives and loving friends. Donald is preceded in death by his father, Vernon.
Per Donald's request, there will be no services. The family will hold a memorial ceremony in the Highlands area and a celebration of life ceremony in the Hill Country at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the organization of your choice in his honor. Live long and prosper.
