Hi grandma.. I was very young when you died but I still think about you time to time. You were my favorite person in the whole world and you still are.. I miss you and love you so much. 15 years has gone by so fast. I’m turning 21 in March and going to school for nursing.. so I’m doing alright. I wish you were still here though.  I miss your smile.

Tara,Brandon, and Travis  Since the last time I sat down and talked with your mother, I have thought about her many times. For a long time, I was very close to the 3 of you, and your mother as well. Donna was always there to listen, and I enjoyed our talks very much. I've known Travis Fojtasek and his family all of my life. Having started this life long friendship at age 5. I have many good memories with Donna. Being US Navy stationed overseas I am unable to attend services, I would like to say that she was a very caring and loving mother that was always there for her children and even me for that matter.  Travis, Brandon, and I put her though a lot going though high school, but still she was there for us.  Donna Prather Parrot will be greatly missed by everyone.



Anita and family:  My prayers and heartfelt wishes for   healing go out to you and your family at this very sad time. As a former classmate of Donna's during our years at Crockett, I recall she always had a smile for anyone and a determination that showed in all that she accomplished. I can imagine she gave no less to her family and current friendships.  May God's comforting hand be with you as your cherished memories are shared.  God's peace and love to all  of you.  Deb

I am so very, very sorry to hear of Donna'a death...    AND GOD SAID.....     I said, "God, I hurt."  And God said, "I know."     I said, "God, I cry a lot."  And God said, "That is why I gave you tears."    I said, "God, I am so depressed."  And God said, "That is why I gave you sunshine."    I said, "God, life is so hard."  And God said, "That is why I gave you loved ones."    I said, "God, my loved one died."  And God said, "So did mine."    I said, "God, it is such a loss."  And God said, "I saw mine nailed to a cross."    I said, "God, but your loved one lives."  And God said, "So does yours."    I said, "God, where are they now?"  And God said, "Mine is on My right and yours is in the Light."    I said, "God, it hurts."  And God said, "I know."



My heart goes out to all the friends and family of Donna Prather. Donna was a high school friend of mine and I have so many fond memories of the fun we had.  Today, what I am remembering most is that beautiful smile! Anita, it must be especially painful to lose your sister and I will keep you in my prayers.



Please accept my sincere sympathy for your lost of Donna.  I have fond memories of Donna when we worked together in Adult Education at TEA.  I considered her a dear friend at the time.  We were working together when she became pregnant with Tara (named for Tara in Gone With the Wind)and then later when she had the boys she would bring them up for a visit. Donna was a wonderful person and I am truly sorry to hear of her death.
