

Dora Ruth Clark, 94, of Austin, Texas passed away Friday, April 5th. Dora, also known as Dodie or Dode, was a native Texan, born in Fort Worth on September 18, 1918. She lived in Fort Worth before moving to Austin, and spent the last 38 years in Oak Hill. She retired in 1980 having worked many years for Cox Automotive and C B Smith Volkswagen.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Roger Durrett and James Clark, parents Luther and Lila Terry and 12 brothers and sisters. Dode was blessed with a large family that she loved deeply but was closest to her beloved niece Lila Howell, great nephew Lee Howell and their families and her dear sister-in-law, Nellie Carroll.
Dode was also blessed to have great neighbors and friends in Oak Hill. She was especially grateful for her close neighbor Latresa Powell and longtime friends Kathy and Jerry Clayton.
The family will receive friends from Noon until 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, April 9, 2013 in the Chapel of Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home. Funeral Services will begin at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. Dr. Sidney G. Hall III officiating. Interment will follow at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Memorial Park.
