Dorothy "Dottie" B. Jackson "Grammers"

Dorothy was born on November 13th. 1935, in Edcouch Texas, to Victor and Mildred Leggett. She worked most of her life as a secretary.

She left notes in shorthand that none of us could understand and woke us up with her rendition of "Good Morning Merry Sunshine" that we learned to love and dread at the same time.

She is preceded in death by Daughter, Debra K. McDonald (Mike McDonald) and son, Howard Jackson. She is survived by children, Patty A. Waneck (Mike Waneck), Carol L. Bowen (Kenny Bowen), Michael B. Davis (Maria Davis) and Laura L. Jackson as well as 25 grandchildren and numerous great & great-great grandchildren.

She is loved and missed by many. She was a loving daughter, sister, Aunt, Mom, grandma, and great-grandma. She was affectionately known as Dorothy, Dottie and Dot but most importantly Grammers (a name given to her by her grandchildren).

Visitation will be held Saturday, February 1, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 6300 West William Cannon Drive, Austin, Texas 78749, followed by a graveside service at 12:00 PM.
