Dorothy Joan Lerond

Joan was born in San Antonio and graduated from Bellaire High School in Houston. She was known for her beauty, both inside and out. She won numerous beauty pageants in her youth and was a devoted member of Faith Family Church in Victoria.

Joan is survived by her sister Barbara Griffith and her husband David; her children, Jacqueline Lerond and husband Will Polly, Jack Lerond and wife Drew, James Lerond, Joanna Scott and husband Donovan, niece and nephew, Erik Griffith and wife Lisa, Amanda Hall and husband Garrett; and her grandchildren, Ries, Andi and Cy Lerond, Blake and Hayden Lerond and Chelsea and Avery Scott.

A graveside services will be conducted at ten o’clock in the morning on Saturday, the 29th of June 2013, at Mission Park Cemetery, 1700 SE Military Drive, San Antonio, TX 78214, under the direction of Cook-Walden Funeral Home.
