Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Leslie Taylor, sister, Doris Fritz and nephew, Joel Fritz. Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, Irma and Lesley Taylor and her husband, James “Robby” Moore, III.
She grew up in a military family that when she was a young teenager, took them to live on Guam. She often remembered this time with a loving fondness. Her family came to Charleston, SC, where she graduated high school in 1957 and later married. In 1961 she and her husband moved to Fairbanks, Alaska, looking for work. She eventually found a position at the University of Alaska, Department of Marine Science as an Executive Administrator.
She met the love of her life, Robby, and they moved to Austin, Texas in the early 80’s. She attended the University of Texas earning her Bachelor Degree in Business Administration. She and her husband spent much of their time planting trees on their tree farm in Missouri which was her passion in life.
There will be a private service held on Friday, August 23, 2024 at Little Flock Cemetery in Temple, Texas.
