

E. Craig Nemec, 42, beloved husband, father, son, brother, business leader and friend died Friday, June 15, 2007. Craig fought a courageous battle to overcome injuries suffered in a helicopter accident in April 2006. Craig was born in Merced, CA on May 13, 1965. He graduated from Jesuit College Preparatory School in Dallas and began his real estate career while completing his business degree at the University of Texas at Austin. Craig built his business over the last twenty years into the real estate firm, Pearson Group Capital Management, Inc. His love of real estate and business was boundless and he relished sharing his experience and expertise by coaching, mentoring and encouraging others to achieve their dreams. Craigs many passions included his family, travel and competitive running. He was active in many professional organizations including Young Presidents Organization and The Real Estate Council of Austin. Craig is survived by his wife, Ellen Jeffery Nemec; children, Edward Coleman and Kate Riley; parents, Edward Charles and Paula Rayer Nemec; sister Kerstin Nemec and her husband, Mark Horinbein; brother, Chad Nemec, his wife Cinnamon and their children, Colista, Chili and Cezanne; grandmothers, Mrs. Magdalen Nemec and Mrs. Hilda Rayer; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. Craig is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Dr. Edward C. Nemec and Mr. Paul Joseph Rayer. A funeral mass in celebration of Craigs life will be Friday, June 22 at St. Austin Catholic Church, 2010 Guadalupe Street, Austin, 78705, at 11:00 am and will be followed by a home reception. Craigs passion to live his dreams allowed him to experience a life as full as those given the gift of twice his years. He will be missed immensely but his love of life, entrepreneurial spirit, and generous desire and ability to help others realize their dreams will live on in those who knew and loved Craig.
