

Earl K. Daley, age 70, of Austin passed away Friday, August 3, 2007. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Bertha Daley. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Cecilia Daley; daughters, Debbie Daley Luna, Diane Taute and husband Rob; son, Joseph Daley and wife Kim; grandchildren, Bret, Chris and Blaire Luna, Tyler and Jake Taute, Rachel Daley; great-grandchildren, Vivianie and Celeste Luna; and sister, Donna Schlueder. Earl owned and managed East 1st Auto Supply for 40 years. He was a member of the Austin Umpire Association for 30 years. He founded the Southwest Umpire Association and later became heavily involved with girls fast pitch running, numerous tournaments. He was also a lay minister at St. Marys Cathedral Church for over 30 years. He sponsored and managed the mens Hawks softball team and led them to many national tournaments. Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Monday, August 6, 2007 at Wilke-Clay-Fish Funeral Home. Rosary will be held at 7:00 pm Tuesday, August 7, 2007 at Wilke-Clay-Fish Funeral Home at 2620 S. Congress Ave, Austin, Texas. Mass of the Christian Burial will be at 10:00 am, Wednesday, August 8, 2007 at St. Mary Cathedral Catholic Church at 203 E. 10th St., Austin, Texas. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery in Austin, Texas. Serving as pallbearers will be Chris Luna, Brodie Beard, Harvey Sab, Rob Taute, Bret Luna, Guy Schlueder. Honorary pallbearers will be Jake Taute and Tyler Taute. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association in his name at 815 Brazos St. Suite 200, Austin, Texas 78701.
