Edgar Verner Jensen Jr.

Age 83, fell asleep in the Lord on September 8, 2026.

Edgar was born in Chelsea, Massachusetts, to Selma Quercia Jensen and Edgar Verner Jensen, Sr. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy, attaining the rank of DK3 (E-4) aboard the USS Bache. Following his military service, Edgar attended the University of Texas at Austin, where he earned his Master's degree and went on to build his career as a Certified Public Accountant.

Edgar shared 40 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Nida Deloso Jensen. Together, they built a family that grew to include three children and five grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Nida; his three children, Eric, Maren, and Thyra; and his grandchildren, Ava, Vera, Rhett, Selma, and grandbaby due in December; as well as his sister, Geraldine.

Edgar will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He loved baseball, literature, and sharing stories about his family history with his children and grandchildren. His life and memory will remain with the family he leaves behind.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church in El Campo, Texas, on September 14th at 2:00pm

A Graveside Service will follow at Danevang Danish American Cemetery, Co Rd 426, Sargent, TX 77414, US, on September 14, 2026, from 3:30 pm to 3:45 pm.
