

Edward E. Mosser (87) of Austin, Texas went to be with his Lord and Savior, on May 31,2025. Edward was born November 7, 1937, in Corpus Christi, Texas to John S. and Mollie A. Mosser. Edward grew up in Corpus Christi, Texas, and in his younger years spent his time working at his family’s amusement park on North Beach and deer hunting with his dad and brother.
Following his graduation from W.B. Ray High School, Corpus Christi in 1956, he worked for Reynolds Metal for five years as an Operator’s Helper. In the 1960s and 70s he spent much of his time on the baseball fields of Corpus Christi Texas, as a coach and on the Board of Directors for OSO Little League. This is where he met the love of his life, Sharon Sutton, and they were married in September of 1962. They just recently celebrated their 62nd Wedding Anniversary. Edward was co-owner and manager for the K-9 Drive Inn Restaurant until 1973, which was a popular eatery at the time. In 1968 Edward joined the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission as a Law Enforcement Officer, and served in Corpus Christi, Victoria, Galveston and Houston before retiring after 25 years at the rank of Captain. He was then named a Special Agent Commissioned Law Enforcement Officer. After retirement from the TABC, Edward then continued to use his law enforcement background when he joined the McCoys Corporation as their Investigations Manager, where he worked for 9 years.
Edward and Sharon were active members of Austin Baptist Church. Edward loved Jesus Christ and wasn’t bashful about telling others about Jesus. He loved his family and enjoyed having them around him and watching the activities in which his grandchildren participated. Edward is survived by his wife, Sharon, and their children: Rickey Mosser and wife Patti of Leander, Tx.; Michelle Evans and husband, Pat, of Live Oak Tx.; Brett Mosser and wife Lori, of Houston, Tx.; Danielle Albrecht and husband, Forrest, of Corpus Christi, Tx.; seven grandchildren, Kristin Evans, Taylor Mosser, Tori and Jacob Rakowitz, Trenna Mosser, Mackenzie and Luke Cazalas, Brayden Albrecht, and Kailey Albrecht; his sister, Darlene Miller.
Edward was preceded in death by his parents, John S. and Mollie A. Mosser, his brothers, Bruce C. Mosser, Johnny P. Mosser and his sisters, Margery Martin, Augusta Humble.
A visitation for Edward will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home, 6300 West William Cannon Drive, Austin, TX 78749. Funeral services to begin at 11:00 AM at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home. Graveside services to immediately follow in Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Memorial Park.
