Edward Michael Plonowski

Ed was born and raised in the New England area and raised his family in Salem, New Hampshire. Ed was an avid reader and New England Patriots fan. He especially loved watching both Professional and College football. When football wasn’t in season he rooted for the Boston Red Sox. Some of Ed’s other favorite teams were the college alma maters of his children and grandchildren which are Purdue, Northwestern, Texas, LSU, Oregon, Texas Tech, and DePaul Universities.

Ed served his country joining the Navy in September of 1958 until February 1962, then he became a Naval reservist for 4 more years. After this time he met the love of his life Madeline Gosselin. They were married in 1962 and remained married until her death in 2011. He worked for the US Postal Service, before working for the Internal Revenue Service until he retired in 2003. He was a career public servant.

Ed is preceded in death by his parents Edward Thaddeus Plonowski and Mildred Sullivan Plonowski, his twin brother Richard Joseph Plonowski (Dick), his nephew Daniel McCord, his grandson Kevin Edward Linn and his wife of 48 years, Madeline Ann (Gosselin) Plonowski.

Ed is survived by his sister Christine Acevedo of San Diego, CA, his daughters, Linda Tesluk and her husband Paul Tesluk of Austin, TX, and their children, Travis Tesluk of Austin, TX and Benjamin Tesluk and his wife Cassidy Tesluk of San Francisco, CA. Diane Linn and her husband Richard Linn III of Abilene, TX. and their children, Richard Linn IV (Ricky) of San Antonio, TX., Rebecca Linn of Abilene, TX. and Matthew Linn of Nashville, TN. Ed is also survived by his son, Thomas Plonowski of Abilene, TX. and his wife Toni Plonowski and their children Ryan Plonowski and Megan Plonowski of Kyle TX.

A visitation for Edward will be held Monday, October 30, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral H, 6300 West William Cannon Drive, Austin, TX 78749. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, October 31, 2023 at 1:00 PM, 6300 West William Cannon Drive, Austin, TX 78749. A graveside service will occur Tuesday, October 31, 2023 at 2:00 PM, 6300 West William Cannon Drive, Austin, TX 78749.
