She was born in Athens, Greece on May 21, 1943. She completed her education and entered trade school to become a seamstress.
In Piraeus, Greece on September 8, 1968 after a Harlequin Romance she married the love of her life, Richard Limmer (who was serving in the US Airforce stationed in Greece).
Katy was a homemaker and had a little shop on the square in Lancaster, Texas where she did alterations for several years.
Katy believed in God and that if you prayed with all your heart he would listen. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, shopping at Ross, spoiling her grandchildren as well as enjoying a scratch off here and there. She loved having coffee on the back porch watching the butterflies and birds enjoying the flowers that her husband planted to attract them.
Katy taught herself how to read and write English. She had a superior faith and strength that sustained her through her battle with cancer which began in 2019 when she was diagnosed with cancer of the gallbladder. She told the doctors then “I believe in God and he will help me fight this!” December 23rd 2020 she was diagnosed with COVID after 2 months in the hospital she beat all odds and received the nickname “Miracle Woman” and “Polemithis (Warrior)”. Cancer would rear its ugly head fast and furious June 2021. There’s a comfort in knowing that she is no longer in pain and is in heaven above watching over us all.
