Elda was born to the late Luz Guerrero Solis an Abraham Solis in Taylor, TX, according to her birth certificate. Elda was immersed in the Christian community from an early age which would later be her lifelong support.
Elda was blessed with a large and loving family. She married Marcos Tapia Zamarripa and helped raise their six children with patience, discipline and humility. The family would often go on road trips such as Corpus Christi where we all enjoyed the gulf coast, San Antonio and a trip to Disneyland. From the very beginning , she dedicated her children to God and encouraged them to explore the beauty of the gospels.
Elda, a seamstress by trade and loved her craft and loved all people. In return, her clients loved her back, especially the clothes she made, specifically holiday vests for a children’s choir. She loved it when friends would drop by and really loved it when they’d pick her up to go out to eat. She is dearly missed by her loved ones, who celebrate the fact that she is at peace with her creator.
Elda is survived by her children, Mary Phillips, Martha Floyd (Don), Erica Fong (Ed), Joel Zamarripa (Mary Hellen), Robert Zamarripa and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren which she adored. She is preceded in death by her daughter Irene Zamarripa Ayala and Marcos Zamarripa.
