ELEANOR McELROY "I've had a wonderful life" was Eleanor's favorite motto. She "loved life" and shared that enthusiasm with all who knew her. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will live in our hearts forever. Born in St. Louis, Missouri December 19, 1915, Eleanor completed her life journey November 30, 2009. Her husband, Homer, and her son Ralph precede her in death. Eleanor is survived by her daughter Doris King and husband Marvin; daughter-in-law Diane McElroy; grandchildren, Wade McElroy, Ryan McElroy and wife Gabriella; Margaret Hirsch, mother of Wade and Ryan; Joe Jereb and wife Lena, Adrianne Doughtie and husband Will; Michelle Reynaud and husband Sid; Anastasia McElroy and Natasha McElroy; great-grandchildren Frances and Beatrice "Eleanor" Jereb; Katie Doughtie, Travis Doughtie, and Alex Reynaud. This wonderfully high-spirited lady's legacy to her family and friends is Enjoy Life - Live it to the Fullest. Her life will be celebrated at a private memorial and burial service. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Hospice Austin.
