Eli Margolin

Eli Margolin, 91, of Austin, Texas passed away peacefully on Monday, April 25, 2016 after a brief illness. He was born in Hartford, Connecticut on June 16, 1924. Eli is survived by his wife Myrna, to whom he had been married for nearly 69 years. Eli is also survived by son Dr. Steven Margolin and his wife, Janice Margolin; son Ronald Margolin and his partner, Timm Adams; and daughter Vicki Ross and her husband, Daniel Ross. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Alex Margolin, Laura Margolin, Margo Ross and fiancé Jonathan Pillischer and Juliana Ross. Eli is also survived by his brother, Dr. Harold Margolin of New York.

Eli was a graduate of Yale University and spent his career as a materials engineer at General Electric in Cincinnati, Ohio where he and Myrna raised their family. After retirement, they moved to Austin to be nearer to children and grandchildren.

Eli was a devoted husband to Myrna and a loving father and grandfather to his family. He will be remembered for his wry wit, a no nonsense approach to life and to the end, an incredible full head of hair.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 27th in the Beth Israel 3 section of Capital Parks Cemetery in Pflugerville.
