Elinor Wortley Doty Elinor Wortley Doty, beloved mother, died on November 29, 2007. She was a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority, the English Speaking Union, and the Open Forum Club. In retirement, she enjoyed summers spent in Colorado where she indulged a newly found interest in geology. She is survived by her daughter, Ruth Doty Killam and husband Allen P. Killam of Durham, North Carolina; son, William Wortley Doty of Albuquerque, New Mexico; daughter, Martha Doty Freeman and husband Joe C. Freeman of Austin, Texas; grandchildren Gwendolyn Killam Corrigan, William Perry Killam, Jennifer Killam Benton, Andrew Isaac Freeman, and Johnathan Josephson; and seven great-grandchildren. The family wishes to acknowledge with deep gratitude the loving care provided to their mother by Bertha Padilla and Laura Martinez. Visitation will be at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home on Friday, December 7, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Services will be held at All Saints Episcopal Church on Saturday, December 8, at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Red Cross or the E. W. Doty Endowed Presidential Scholarship in Fine Arts at The University of Texas at Austin.
