Elizabeth Chatham Lovell of Austin, age 88, passed away Sunday, December 25th surrounded by her family. She was born May 4, 1917 in Toyah, TX to Webb and Maggie Chatham. Elizabeth attended Texas Tech University in Lubbock and married Leon Lovell on September 1st, 1938. She was a loving wife and mother. She was active in PTA and garden club and volunteered for Meals on Wheels. She was also a long-time member of University United Methodist Church where she participated in the Couples Plus Sunday School Class and the UMW Monday Morning Circle. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Leon Lovell and her sister, Margaret Petite. She is survived by her sons, Dale Lovell of Austin and wife Pat and John Lovell of N. Richland Hills and wife Joan; granddaughter, Wendy Stewart and husband Patrick; grandsons, Matt Lovell, Darek Lovell, and Chad Lovell and wife Lyndsay; and a niece, Brenda Kozar. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, December 27th at 1:00 p.m. at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Cemetery, 14501 N IH-35, Pflugerville.
