Dalley Eloy, you fought an almost impossible battle, but God had another plan for you. Although, we question why he needs you more than we do, as we begin to mourn and comfort each other, we will forever miss you for all time! More than a father, you were our best friend, always there to support us. Eloy Portillo age 49 of Smithville, Texas. He was born on August 11, 1960 in Austin, Texas to Guadalupe Portillo, Sr. and Dolores Portillo. He attended Johnston High School and ACC. Eloy has worked for Travis County Sheriff's Department for 14 years. Always being the first to offer help to those around him. His first priority was his family; he leaves behind his wife Karen Portillo and three children, daughter, Heather (20); sons, Eloy "JP" Portillo (16) and Joshua Portillo (5), as well as three siblings, Guadalupe Portillo, Jr. and wife Teri of Buda, Texas. Patricia Limon and husband Paul of Austin, Texas and Maria Portillo of Austin, Texas, also a large extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins and in laws. Eloy's passions were hunting, fishing and spending time at home with his family. Serving as pallbearers will be George Neill, Michael Basquette, John Horrigan, Phillip Portillo, Edward Portillo and Travis Motloch. Funeral services will be led by Reverend Tommy McIntosh at 2:00 pm on Monday, November 9, 2009 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 2620 South Congress Avenue. Viewing is on Sunday, November 8, 2009 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
