For Elva, family was the single most important part of her life – her children and their families were her pride and joy. Elva will be remembered for her warmth, wisdom, determination, kindness and of course, her youthful beauty and grace. As an active member of the Republican Party in Amarillo, she had a keen interest in politics. Her love of Texas of course included her fervent support of the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Longhorns. Elva had an unwavering belief in living life to the fullest, and will be forever connected to us by the love and friendship she shared with all who knew her. She was a caring and nurturing mother and we will miss her dearly. Her unwavering faith gave her peace and comfort knowing she would be received into the Kingdom of God.
The family wishes to extend sincere appreciation to the doctors and nurses of the Seton ICU with heartfelt thanks to Deepa and Tara who brought comfort to our sweet beautiful Elva in her final hours.
A Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 A.M., Friday, December 28, 2012 at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 4800 Convict Hill Road with Father Pat Coakley, Celebrant.
