Mr. Elzie Earl Edwards, Jr., born Dec. 14, 1939 to the late Elzie E. Edwards, Sr. and Bernadine Keplar Edwards in Jamestown, OH, died Thursday, October 04, 2007 in an Austin care facility after a lengthy illness. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nina; parents; and brothers and sisters. Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law, Scott and Lisa Edwards of Kyle, Rodney and Candace Dowdy of Orlando, FL; daughter, Shane Simpson of Tulsa, OK; and Jim and Tanya Edwards of Kyle; nine grandchildren are Kendra, Riley, Cara, McKenzie, Jessica, Hunter, Justin, Deanna and Emily; sister and brother, Georgie and Larry, both of Jamestown, OH; numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends. A private memorial service is scheduled at a later date.
