

Emily was born March 8th, 1936 to Kamal and Nalo Malile in New York, New York. She passed away on December 24, 2023 in Austin, Texas. She was 87 years old. She grew up in Pittsburgh, PA, and graduated from East Pittsburgh High School in 1954. Emily retired from The University of Texas as an Administrative assistant to the Dean of Graduate and International Studies.
She was preceded in death by her parents Kamal and Nalo Malile; father- and mother-in-law Severt and Sadife Kaso; sisters- and brother-in-law, Vera and Al Pasha, Sila and Kim Giontzeneli; her nephew Philip Giontzeneli.
She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and aunt.
She is survived by her husband Nick; sons, Craig and his wife Cheryl, Stan, David and his wife Maria; grandchildren, Conner, Callie, Curtis, Nicholas, Anthony, Sofia and Zach; her sisters, Genevieve and her husband Mark Zeko, Francis and her husband Andy Hasho, and Diana Flack; 9 nieces and 4 nephews.
Everyone that met her immediately felt like one of the family, and she had the ability to converse easily with people. Emily cared for, loved and had a positive impact on so many people's lives.
She was of the Catholic faith and her two favorite saints were St. Teresa and St. Anthony.
The family would like to thank those that visited her in the hospital, the Seton Williamson and St. David's Hospitals, and the doctors and nurses that cared for her. Her family doctors are Dr. Isaacs, Dr. Yeh, and Dr. Vigo.
A memorial service for Emily will be held Saturday, January 6, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Cook-Walden Chapel of the Hills, 9700 Anderson Mill Road, Austin, TX 78750.
