

Emmitt Wieruscheske went to be with his Savior, Jesus Christ, on October 13, 2010. He was born in Pflugerville, Texas on May 30, 1919, the oldest of 4 children born to Charles and Mae (Rainwater) Wieruscheske.
Emmitt married his wife of 58 years, Louise Lewis, on December 23, 1945. They moved to Austin from Pflugerville in 1953.
He owned and operated his own business for close to 35 years, initially in Pflugerville and then in Austin from 1953 to 1984, at which time he retired and became a rancher for pleasure.
He is survived by his daughter, Carolyn Commander; son, Hollis Wieruscheske; daughter-in-law, Felecia Wieruscheske; son-in-law, Pete Commander; grandsons, Ryan Wieruscheske and Aaron Wieruscheske; and sisters, Ruth Jones, Dorothy Luedtke and Marilyn Weiss.
Emmitt was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Pflugerville, then Tarrytown United Methodist Church, and later Northwest Hills United Methodist Church of Austin.
He loved music, including playing the piano, and playing the banjo with his sisters and brothers-in-law. He enjoyed traveling with his family and loved baseball. He attended virtually every baseball, football and basketball game involving his son or his grandsons over five decades, even travelling out-of-state to watch.
Visitation will be from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 17th at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, North Lamar.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, October 18, 2010 at Weed-Corley-Fish Chapel on North Lamar. Graveside services will follow at Capital Parks Cemetery in Pflugerville.
