She is preceded in death and reunited in glory with her parents, Francisco and Josefa Leija; five brothers, four sisters; three grandsons and two great-grandsons; one son-in-law and one daughter-in-law.
In Enemencia’s 89 years that she graced us she has touched, blessed and inspired more lives than we will ever know. One glorious moment in her life was when she traveled to Rome, Italy and visited the Vatican and was fortunate to be blessed by Pope John Paul II. She traveled from the beaches of Jamaica, Bahamas, Hawaii, through the cities of London and Chicago, to her favorite slot machines in Las Vegas - Enemencia was always the brightest light in the room and left foot prints on every heart she met.
Enemencia was and always will be the heart and soul of her family-spending her years as devoted mother, grandmother, and matriarch to all in her presence. She instilled a strong work ethic; while always teaching by her actions “the value of what one has is only as good as how much they give.” She used her humor and joy as tools of comfort and correction to bring those into her undeniable love and grace, her ability to be attentive, compassionate, and considerate echoed throughout her personality, and her legacy is left as a strong women of faith, tender and kind hearted-always making sure every soul left feeling the love of Christ that shined so bright through her.
Enemencia is survived by her children, Felix Quintanilla IV (wife Janie), Andrea Quintanilla, David Quintanilla (wife Gloria), Roy Quintanilla, Adam Gonzales (wife Lisa), Cynthia Mendoza; 19 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren.
