
I didn't really process losing Eric when he was called home to Heaven. There were too many things to do to make sure he was laid to rest properly, and I made these my highest priority, as the eldest living son. With Jesus' help, I made it through those first 72 hours. It was the hardest thing I've ever had to do, I thought. I was wrong. Missing him afterward was worse. 

Eric made us all laugh, almost daily. It was his gift. He loved people. He pushed the comedy envelope in a way that made some think he missed his calling. He'd say stuff that would come out of nowhere, and it would drop you to your knees. His timing was impeccable. He had a razor sharp whit.  I can confirm that these posts are from people that knew life with Eric in it. It was a special time.

With more time to process losing my dear big brother, I relish the memories as kids & his protective nature. How he bailed me out of several scrapes as kids. Not many know that Eric was very strong. He was patient, especially with me. Eric couldn't stand to see a person cry. Months after the funeral, a chance meeting at a mall with a former coworker of his reminded me of his generosity, and never say die attitude. It also confirmed that Eric is with the Lord and Heaven is now filled more laughter. I was comforted. Eric wouldn't want me or any of us to be sad. I thank God for that answer to prayer. 

Eric was terrified of cats, and birds. He was a believer in God and His son, Jesus Christ, and he relied on God's grace for forgiveness. He hated to worry, and hated tears. He had faith that God would get him through the tough times, no matter what. You couldn't keep Eric down for long. He would get back up. He knew God. Eric knew that God was everywhere and on the job 24/7, and not just in church on Sunday. He loved God and loved people. He relied on God. He feared God. He believed. 

Eric would want you to believe & live with God's grace.      

Don't put it off. Pray now to receive Jesus. 




Eric Im going to miss you alot, You took me under your wing and showed me how to be great at my job!you showed me how a shining personality brightens a room. The love you have for little E will not be forgotten. You Sir. Are one of a kind. The love you had for your son, Little E, was something to be admired. You really did come to work with an awesome attitude and made everyone laugh all day. Your sense of humor was truly unique. You will be missed my friend. I am at a loss of words right now.



Every morning, I would come to work and you come up with these crazy stories to tell, those stories  were  my daily cup of coffee. You would make me laugh so much till it hurt, that's the kind of person you were funny and loud but really funny!!!. Although I have known you for six years,  2011-2012 was the year we became good friends.  I learned a lot from you, and realize beneath all of that you had a good heart.  Thank you for everything Eric , for the encouragement, motivation, and the direction you gave me in the car business and being a good friend .  A Spartan I  forever will I be. You will be missed.  May we cross paths again on the other side. Rest in peace my good friend.



My thoughts and prayers are with Eric's family.   

I did not know him long, however, I quickly learned that Eric did not meet a stranger.  He welcomed me to the dealership and always greeted me with a smile (and something funny) as i made my regular visits to check on him and the dealership.

I am very sad and will truly miss visiting with him.  He always made my day!
