It is with great sadness that the family of Erica Lynn Robertson announces her passing, on Tuesday, February 26, 2019, at the age of 40 years.

Erica is a proud graduate of Texas A&M University, where she graduated in 1999 with a degree in Information Systems and Operations Management. She continued her education and went on to graduate Summa Cum Laude with her MBA in 2001. With this amazing education, as well as abundant blessings from God, Erica went on to an amazing career ranging from launching a start-up, to 8 years at an advertising agency working with large companies like Sharp, Eli Lilly, and Exxon. Erica’s most prized work accomplishment, however, was working with her most recent employer, Pearson Education. At Pearson, Erica was one of the youngest VPs in a Fortune 500 company, where she served as the Vice President of Program Operations for over 4 years. Erica adored this position and her team, largely because of her work on digital education for grades K-12 where her leadership resulted in improved learning opportunities for students.

In addition to the accomplishments listed above, Texas A&M also provided Erica with her most amazing blessing – her husband David. David and Erica built an amazing life together, including 19 years of marriage and six beautiful children. Erica’s family was always the reason behind her glorious smile, and she never tired of providing them with unconditional love, hugs, words of encouragement, and countless moments of laughter and fun.

After her heroic and tireless efforts to defeat cancer, Erica went to join her Savior, where she is now living free from all pain! Erica will be forever remembered by her loving husband David and beautiful children Grace, Luke, Dean, Jack, Grant, and Clark, her Father Bob (Yvonne), her brother B.J. (Colleen) and his children Maxwell and Simon. Erica will also be remembered by her extended family and dear friends.

A visitation will be held on Friday, March 1, at 12:30 p.m., at Cook-Walden Chapel of the Hills Funeral Home, 9700 Anderson Mill Road, Austin, TX 78750 with a Funeral Service immediately following from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m.

A private Committal Service will be held Friday, March 1, from 4:00 – 5:00 p.m., at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park, 4219 Park Rd 4 South, Burnet, TX 78611

Memorial donations may be made to Compassion (compassion.com), ChildFund International (childfund.org), or MD Anderson Cancer Center (gifts.mdanderson.org).

I never had the honor of meeting Erica; however, I am friends with Sarah Cook, through whom I learned of Erica's passing. Hearing of Erica's caring heart has prompted me to sponsor a child through Compassion International, and I wanted you to know that through little Donatiel's enrichment, Erica's love lives on.

I met Erica over 20 years ago at TAMU. She was always gracious and kind. However, the memory that is strongest about her is from fall of 2017. I was a victim of Hurricane Harvey, and was getting the run-around from my mortgage company, who was holding my insurance check. One day, I live streamed on Facebook the contradictory demands that they were issuing. Erica knew one of the executives for my mortgage company, and contacted him about my issues. After her contact, the mortgage company began to work with me instead of against me. She interceded on behalf of my family. Her action was so Christ-like, modeling intercession, standing in the gap for others. That gift was perhaps the greatest gift I received throughout the whole ordeal of Hurricane Harvey.

I will remember Erica’s heartfelt desire to improve the work we produced for children and teachers at Pearson. She was a transformational agent within our groups and worked tirelessly to strengthen our teams. I hold a deep respect for her.

This picture of our management team was taken a few years ago during a business trip to Arizona. I thought her family might like to have it to add to their already deep memories of her. I will keep Erica and her family in my thoughts and prayers.

My heartfelt condolences to all of Erica's family. I had the great privilege of working with Erica at imc2 in Dallas Texas. She was always kind and a great leader. She was very generous in mentoring others and leading by example. Her smile was infectious. Looking at this notice of remembrance I am not a bit surprise how far she advanced in her career but also not at all surprise by the remarkable legacy of a beautiful family.

Erica will be cherished in my heart for the rest of my life! She was my manager, and she was my sincere friend!! Her heart of compassion was very evident. My son is going through a similar battle as Erica, and Erica was always there providing support, Scripture, and uplifting texts of inspiration to me. She always went above and beyond - a coworker shared a similar story where Erica called her and provided words of comfort and compassion regarding a situation she was going through. She raved about her family and shared stories of their RV excursions with me!! That was Erica, a wife, mother, manager, compassionate friend and always willing to share her love and uplifting inspiration at the perfect time of need! I will be forever grateful for her support and compassion!!!

Philippians 1:3 "I thank my God for every remembrance of you!"

God bless!!
