She was preceded in death by her son Richard Gaytan, her parents Felix and Lorenza Ojeda and her siblings Amador Ojeda, Josefina Guerrero and Lupe Ojeda.
Ernestine spent her lifetime caring for children and especially her granddaughters; Valerie, Bianca and Dezrae, and then when they became mothers, she continued her care for her great grandchildren. She also worked for the University of Texas for over 25 years. Ernestine will be remembered for her unconditional love she gave everyone through out her life here on earth, and now that she has gained her wings, she’ll continue the love to her son Richard who she missed so very much. It gives the family peace knowing that they’re together once again and this time for all Eternity.
Ernestine is survived by her husband Ponciano R. Gaytan, granddaughters Valerie Sandoval (Juan), Bianca Gaytan (Chris) and Dezrae Gaytan (Ryan), she also leaves behind seven great grandchildren; Anthony, Jayla, Christopher, Sophia, Gianni, Jayden and Armani. Ernestine is also survived by her siblings; Nieves Ojeda, Alvino Ojeda, Daniel Ojeda (Linda), and Josie Ruedas (Richard).
Pallbearers will be, John Herrera Sr., John Paul Estrada, Daniel Sandoval, Anthony Gaytan Ramirez, Juan Ramirez, Matthew Cruz, Edward Sandoval, Sr & Josef Mancilla and Danny Herrera.
Family would like to give thanks to all her medical team that assisted her through out her lifetime with her medical needs and also in her final days they give thanks to Encompass Health Hospice care.
