Estelle Emily Richardson
January 6, 1922 – February 25, 2020
Estelle Emily Greenway Richardson died February 25, 2020 in Cedar Park, Texas at the age of 98. She was born January 6, 1922 in Cleveland, Georgia to William Greenway and Estelle Emma Watts. She was the third of their four children. Her two sisters and one brother preceded her in death.
Her father was a traveling Methodist minister so her early years were spent in various cities all over Georgia. She graduated from LaGrange College where she met her future husband, Robert Terrell Richardson. They were married June 14, 1942 and were married for 72 years at the time of Robert’s death.
She is survived by her three children, Bob Jr., Teresa (Terry) Parr, and Beth Little Schmiedel, 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
The family moved to Texas in 1956 and Estelle taught in the public schools in Ft. Worth and Dallas. She earned a Masters in Library Science at North Texas University and became a school librarian. At the same time, she made a warm and loving home for her family. Estelle loved books and read to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren leaving behind a legacy of book lovers. Her hobbies were playing bridge, square dancing, travel and family genealogy. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
