Esther Louise Rasbury Haufler, age 101, of Austin passed away on Tuesday, February 27, 2018. She was born on November 26, 1916 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas to Robert Searcy Rasbury and Maude Sparks Rasbury.
Esther was predeceased by her parents; brothers, Robert Rasbury and Glenn Rasbury; sister, Margie Hunt; husbands, Chester Oliver and Udo Haufler. She is survived by her sisters, Ramona Martin and Wanda Morris; nephew, Oliver Glenn Rasbury; stepdaughter, Barbara McArthur; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends.
Esther was a remarkable businesswoman who helped run many family businesses that included car dealerships and an excavation company. She loved raising and showing her many quarter horses and won several championships.
Graveside Services will be at 2:00 P.M., Monday, March 5, 2018 at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Memorial Park.
The family would like to thank Live Oak Estates and Heart to Heart Hospice for their compassionate care.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like contributions to be made in Esther's memory to Heart to Heart Hospice or the Alzheimer's Association.
