
Eufemia Phemie Skoglund Eufemia Phemie Skoglund, 94, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, July 16, 2004. She was born on March 20, 1910 in Round Rock, Texas to Frank and Agda Skoglund who immigrated from Sweden. Her parents, sister and two brothers preceded her in death. Phemie is survived by sister-in-laws, Mrs. Elfin Skoglund and Mrs. Swen Skoglund, both of Austin. A niece, Janet Bartles and three nephews, David Skoglund, Jim Gameson, and Joe Gameson. In addition, she was cherished by her two great nephews, Gannon Bartles and Joe Gameson and great niece, Whitney Gameson. She was a simple woman who loved her family very much and was always wanting to help them. She worked for the University of Texas at Andrews Dormitory as a cook from 1947 until retirement in 1975. In retirement, she enjoyed her family and fishing. She was a long time member of Gethsemane Lutheran Church. She lived alone until February, 2004 when she moved to New Hope Manor Nursing Home which provided her excellent care. She enjoyed the activities at New Hope Manor especially the ride in the covered wagon and the weekly bowling. Visitation will be at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home Sunday evening from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Graveside services will be at Palm Valley Lutheran Cemetery in Round Rock on Monday July 19, 2004 at 7:30 p.m. a little prior to sunset.
