Eva Jane Franks Gibson went home to be with the Lord on February 21. Born on September 15, 1923 in Arcadia, Texas, she was a life long resident of Galveston County. Eva is survived by Joe, her loving husband of 66 years, her children and their spouses Wayne and Gail Gibson, Terry and Virginia Gibson, Glenda and Michael Ruege, grandchildren Steve and wife Lara Gibson, Tracy and husband Darren Geyer, M.D., Aaron and wife Michelle Gibson, Joshua Gibson, and Brandon and Kristina Ruege, great-grandchildren, Katie and Stevie Gibson, and Lexi, Carson and Jack Geyer. Eva spent her life serving her family. She was a loving and selfless caregiver. She loved golfing and being a part of her garden club, and tending her own yard and plants. Eva was happiest when she was with her family and preparing one of her wonderful meals. She was a member of Revelation Fellowship Church. Those who knew her and know the Lord Jesus Christ, look forward to seeing her again. A memorial service will be held at the Smith Family Chapel at Riverbend Church in Austin, on Sunday, March 1 at 3:00 p.m. The family requests in lieu of flowers, that donations be sent to Hospice Austin, 4107 Spicewood Springs Road, Suite 100, Austin, Texas 78759
