Eva accepted Christ at an early age. She was a devoted member of the African Methodist Episcopal Church supporting her father in his ministry.
Eva united in marriage to Henry Kimbell Taylor. They have been married for over 60 years. Eva dedicated her life as a proudful military housewife, mother, and daycare teacher. Eva loved all of her family and friends. Eva was a strong woman of faith and always trusted in God.
Eva enjoyed spending time with her family and making yearly summer trips back to her family home in Panama City, Florida. She was a faithful member of Dunn’s Memorial Church under the leadership of Pastor Salem Robinson, Jr. Eva served as the Head Communion Stewardess for 20 plus years.
Eva was preceded in death by her parents, Reverend Theodore Cotton and Mrs. Eva Cotton; and brother Clyde Cotton.
Eva’s life was an inspiration. She is cherished by her loving husband Henry; sisters Barbara Bullock of Roosevelt, NY, and Emma Winston of Coral Springs, FL; brother Theodore Cotton, Jr, of Newark, NJ; and uncle Junior Hill (Ruth) of Lynn Haven, FL.
Eva loved her children Yvette (Isaac) of Austin, TX, Gregory of Austin, TX, Darryl (Toinetta), of Houston, TX, Trammell (Lydia) of Spokane, WA, and Eydee (Damon) of Austin, TX.
She adored and loved her grandchildren Alvin, Devin, Dylan, Kendra, Darryl, DeVaughn, Aaden, Davina, and Danica, along with her precious great grandchildren Dabney, Adalynn, Major, Aaliyah, and Alvin, Jr.
Eva has a host of nieces and nephews who she loved and helped raise: Derek, Chauncey (Derralyn), Tanish, Felice (Kelly), Donnie (Phoebe), Chester, Cynthia, Larry, Alvin, Mark, Brad, Rodney, Kim and Connie.
