Evelyn Marie Grimmett (Fogg) passed away peacefully on July 25, 2020. She was born on September 13, 1939 in Freestone, Texas. She is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Richard. Evelyn was raised in Corsicana by her parents, the late Joe B. and Louise Fogg, and this is where she met Richard. They married on February 21, 1959. They later moved to Hillsboro and eventually settled in Austin where they raised their family. Evelyn was a loving and caring mother and will truly be missed by her family and friends.
After raising her family, Evelyn was a lunchroom monitor at Pillow Elementary School and an in-home daycare provider. She loved the kids that she helped raise as if they were her own. She and Richard were avid square dancers with the River City Squares.
Evelyn and Richard were long time members of Crestview United Methodist Church and later devoted members of Oak Hill United Methodist Church.
Evelyn is survived by her children, Carla Marie Webb (Lonnie), Joel Davis Grimmett (Dion Papafote) and Susan Rae Griffin; her grandchildren, Deanna Webb, Joel Griffin and Remi Griffin.
Also surviving are her siblings, Douglas Fogg (Maryanne), David Fogg (Kathy); sister-in-law, Letha Tanner and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside Service 10:00 am on Friday, July 31, 2020 at Capital Parks Cemetery, Pflugerville, Texas.
