Evelyn B. Merrell

Evelyn Batton Merrell, age 97, joined the other angels on Friday, June 1, 2012 in Austin, Texas. A beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she always put others before herself, and was known for her kind and loving spirit.

Evelyn was a resident of Austin for 59 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Everett Alva Merrell in 2003. She is survived by her son, Tommy, his wife Pat, their son , Greg, his wife, Lori Ann and their children Everett and Ella; her son John, his wife Marcie and their sons, Barry and Michael, all of Austin.

Visitation will be Monday, the 4th of June, 2012 from 5 o’clock until 7 o’clock in the evening at Cook Walden Funeral Home at 6100 North Lamar Blvd, Austin, Texas 78752.

Graveside services will be held at 11 o’clock in the morning on Tuesday the 5th of June, 2012, at Cook-Walden Memorial Hill Cemetery in Pflugerville, Texas. Evelyn passed away as she led her life, peacefully.

Heartfelt gratitude goes to the staff of Arden Courts Assisted Living, where she spent her last two years.
