Our beloved mother, Fatemeh Mohammad Jaffar, left us to join heaven, on Monday, July 9th of 2012.
She was born in Rafsanjaan, Iran on September 28th, 1926. She was the youngest of four siblings. She had two sisters and a brother. She lost her mother, Massoumeh, at the age of 4 and her father, Hassan, at the age of 7. Her older sister who had 2 children of her own, took on the role of her mother until she was able to stand on her own. These circumstances forced her into accepting responsibilities early on and she continued to carry on these responsibilities throughout her glorious life.
She met and fell in love with her husband, Jaffar, in Kerman, Iran. They were happily married for 60 years before he passed away about 10 years ago. This union garnered 11 children, 22 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Her children are:
1) Hossein
2) Betti
3) Sedi
4) Mahmood
5) Fakhi
6) Shae
7) Ali
8) Hassan
9) Nahid
10) Nader
11) Mohsen
After Her Marriage, she and her husband started their young life and got their first jobs with the Department of Education. Soon After, Jaffar took an interest in the farming business. Through Fatemeh’s endless support, that business grew into acres and acres of pistachio farms. Jaffar and Fatemeh put an enormous emphasis on education for their children. They both tried hard to provide for and support all of their children to receive great education and to direct them on a path to success in life.
She enjoyed family above all. She also enjoyed reciting poetry, was a great story teller, and had a wonderful sense of humor. She was always a great hostess. Serving and taking care of her children continuously gave her a great sense of satisfaction and pride throughout her life.
Her departure leaves a big void in all our hearts, but knowing she is now in a better place soothes our pain. Her poetry and captivating sense of humor will be greatly missed. Her love, passion, support for family, hard work, and her life, will be celebrated by her family for years to come.
