Florence Marks Gustafson

The Lord called Florence home on August 15, 2014. She came into this world on August 8, 1930. She was born in Caldwell, TX to Joseph John Marks and Anna Marie Costello Marks. Florence worked for the Texas Highway Department for several years before marrying and becoming a devoted homemaker. She was a loving and cherished daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Joseph Marks Jr. Survived by her brother, Patrick Marks and wife Margit of Virginia; and her children; Deborah Ochoa, husband Benny of Elgin, TX, son, James Gustafson and daughter Karen Gustafson of Austin, Tx, grandchildren; Kinny and Ben Ochoa, Adrienne and Elena Segura, great grandchildren; Jeremiah, Savannah and Hailey Salinas and Anya Ochoa.

Her family would like to thank the nurses and staff at St. David's North Austin Medical Center for their compassion and professionalism during her final hours. Florence held her faith, children and grandchildren close to her heart; placing these things above all else.

In keeping with her devout faith, a visitation will be held on Friday, August 22, 2014 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home (2620 South Congress Ave.) from 6:00 pm -7:00 pm followed by a rosary service (7:00-8:00). A mass service will be held on Saturday August 23, 2014 @ 10:00 at St. Paul's Catholic Church (located at 10000 David Moore Drive) followed by her burial at Masonic Cemetery in Caldwell, TX at 1:30.
