Florence graduated from La Grange High School and from Brackenridge School of Nursing. She was active in Nursing for 42 years, retiring from the State M.H.M.R.
Mrs. Theriot was active in the Cereus Garden Club, St. Theresa's Ladies Club, Ladies of Charity and was a volunteer at St. Vincent de Paul and Seton League House.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion D. Theriot on January 21, 1983. She leaves behind one daughter, Barbara Theriot Phipps of San Antonio and 3 step-grandchildren, Michael Phipps, Melissa Phipps Cooley and Matthew Phipps.
Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 18th at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, North Lamar location. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 19, 2016 at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 4311 Small Drive. Burial will follow at Austin Memorial Park.
