Floy June West Bell, “Ma Bell” age 87, of Austin, Texas, passed away Thursday, February 3, 2011. She was born on June 29, 1923 to Floyd Duane West and Jennie Mae Barnes West in Glen Rose, Texas. Ma Bell retired from the Texas Railroad Commission.
She is preceded in death by her granddaughter, Laura Ann Petmecky.
Ma Bell is survived by her children, Patricia June Thornblom Hearn, Joe Garland Thornblom and wife Maria of Austin; grandchildren, Heath Thornblom and wife Jo Carol of Marble Falls, Texas, Amy Lynn Petmecky Blaustein and husband Frank Blaustein of Fort Worth, Texas; great-grandchild, Nathan Alan Blaustein; brothers, Harlon West and wife Jean of Tulsa, Oklahoma, William Doyle West and wife Avis of Lockhart, Texas; numerous nieces and nephews and their children.
Serving as pallbearers will be William Doyle West, Heath Thornblom, Billy West, Leroy Pennington, Heath Huckaby, and Jon Conner.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm on Sunday, February 6, 2011 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 2620 South Congress Avenue. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, February 7, 2011 at Weed-Corley-Fish Chapel. A private burial will follow.
