Frances Samuell Greenwood, 93, passed away on Tuesday, June 20, 2006. She was born and raised in Houston, Texas but lived in Austin since 1988. Frances was dearly loved by her family and friends for her enthusiasm and positive outlook on life. She was a wonderful example to all who knew her. Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Carmon Leighton Greenwood; son, John Leighton Greenwood; and daughter, Frances Kathryn Greenwood. She is survived by her son, Robert B. Greenwood and his wife, Sharon and grandsons, John B. Greenwood and Leighton R. Greenwood, all of Dallas. Services will be held on Thursday, June 22, 2006, 2:00 p.m. at Northwest Hills United Methodist Church in Austin. Burial will be on Friday, June 23rd at 1:00 p.m. at Forest Park Lawndale in Houston. The family would like to thank her many friends for their love and kindness towards her, especially these last few years. We would also like to express our sincere thanks and gratitude to the therapists and caregivers at Brighton Gardens for their special love and attention.
