Frances was born in San Saba, Texas on February 1, 1921 to Georgia Mae Williams Stewart and John Williams. Her fondest childhood memories were living on Congress Avenue during the 1930's using the State Capitol grounds as her playground, summer visits to her cousins house in Bastrop, Texas, and going to the 10 cent picture shows. Another fond memory from her life was her trip to Europe where she visited Wales, Scotland and England. Frances worked for the School for the Deaf, St. Jude's for Children and Austin Independent School District from which she retired and spent the remainder of her time on earth loving and protecting her loved ones. Frances was a strong willed woman who took pride in her ability to stand up for what she believed in and never ran away from a good debate.
Frances was a member of East Austin Baptist Church. She was known for her never ending love of family and extended family which she would never allow to go without food and shelter regardless of the situation. Frances was affectionately called Mother, Gangy, Maw Maw, Granny, and Grandma.
