

Frances M. Rainosek was born Feb. 8, 1917 in Fayette County, Texas to the late Charles Mazoch and Marie Hajovsky Mazoch. She passed from this life on Sunday, November 09, 2008 in Austin, Texas after a lengthy illness. Frances married Henry J. Rainosek on October 28, 1941. She was a longtime member of both St. Ignatius Martyr Catholic Church and KJZT. She retired from F.W. Woolworth, was a loyal Longhorn fan but most of all, was a loving sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Frances enjoyed baking kolaches, apple strudel, and serving her delicious meringue kiss cookies to her family. In her later years, her day usually ended with a rosary in her hand, a prayer on her lips and joyful dreams of her great-grandchildren. She is survived by her sons, Ron Rainosek, Gary Rainosek and his wife Bernadette, all of Austin; grandchildren, Jennifer Lynch and her husband Chris, and their children Mary Rose and Quinn Henry of Newtown Square, PA, and Christopher Rainosek of Mobile, AL; sisters Marie Laitkep of Wharton, Tonnie Sumbera of La Grange, Gabrielle Cervenka of Houston, Helen Hanacek and husband Frank of La Grange and Irene Mazoch of San Antonio; brothers Charles Mazoch and wife Rita and Ernest Mazoch and wife Barbara, all of Weimar. Others include sister-in-law Lillian Mazoch of Schulenberg and brother-in-law Richard Janda of Austin. She was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband of over 60 years, Henry; brother, Ladis Mazoch and sister, Anne Pfertner. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday with recitation of the Holy Rosary to be at 7:00 P.M. at Wilke-Clay-Fish Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 A.M. Wednesday at St. Ignatius Catholic Church with entombment to follow at Assumption Cemetery Mausoleum. The family would like to express special thanks to Nora and Gary Aberle, kind and devoted neighbors, who lovingly watched over Frances. We are also grateful to her dedicated caregivers Susan Callan and Diane Guerrero.
