Frances Clara Torres was born on August 12, 1961 to Pascual and Josephine Pulido in Austin, Tx. She passed away from this life on the evening of March 6, 2021 at the age of 59. Her two sons and their wives were able to be near her during her final moments.
Frances was a loving mother to her sons and never let them go without an “I love you” at the end of any conversation. She was hard on her boys, but the reason for that shows in them today: the respect they show people, the passion that they love the lives they live. Frances was also a caring, loving, and always watchful Momo. Momo lived for her grandchildren, and always called them just to see how they were doing. She would wrestle with them, cheer them on at games, watch them perform at events, play outside with them, and take them shopping whenever they wanted. She spoiled them to their core and gave them all the love she had.
Frances was a free spirit that loved the night life by dancing, having fun and listening to her Tejano music. She loved her red lipstick, her awful perfume, and wearing her turquoise jewelry. Being the free spirit, she was also a free loving aunt who was known to let her nieces and nephews be who they truly are. She helped all her nieces and nephews with a place to stay, live for a while, or just listen and hang out with her. Frances was a loving and caring sister and daughter, often cooking for family gatherings and taking her mother to appointments. Most important Frances loved to be needed by family, and friends.
Frances was also a devoted employee at Mark 1 Residential. She worked hard to ensure her clients were well taken care of. They weren’t just clients they were her family too. Her favorite was decorating their home for the different holidays and making them yummy food to eat.
Some of Frances’ most memorable moments are those of her teaching; teaching friends and family how to make tamales. Teaching you how to be on your own, and not be afraid. If you wanted to know how something worked, she would say “if you want to learn how something works take it apart”.
Struggles, which some may think she had; they were never for everyone else because to her she felt she lived her life to the fullest. If she liked you, well you knew it, the same way if she did not like you then you knew that too.
Preceding her into eternal peace is her father, Pascual Pulido and sister, Alicia Pulido.
Frances is survived by her mother, Josephine Pulido; children, Roberto Flores (Debra), David Solis (Jessica) and Johnny Mathis; grandchildren, Kennedy, Ciprianna, Cayla, Lucas, Jaliyah, Isaias and Amariah; brothers, Jenaro Pulido, Lino Pulido (Angie), Albert Pulido, Fred Pulido (Holly), Patrick Pulido (Sara) and Pete Pulido; sisters, Irene Flores (Henry), Susie Piña and Sally Denton (Lisa).
Per Frances’ wishes she will be cremated. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
