Frances “Frankie” Wright, 86, passed away peacefully on November 7, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born June 6, 1939, in Darby, Delaware County, Pennsylvania, Frankie devoted her life to faith, family, and service.
After earning her nursing degree from St. Joseph’s Hospital School of Nursing in Baltimore, Maryland, she went on to serve as a dedicated labor and delivery nurse at Ascension Seton for 27 years. Her calm strength and caring heart touched countless lives.
Deeply rooted in her Catholic faith, Frankie lived her beliefs through action. She served as president of the Ladies of Charity, was a faithful member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society and founded the Prayer Blanket Ministry at St. Thomas More Catholic Church—personally creating hundreds of prayer blankets for the sick and those in need.
A gifted quilter, Frankie took great pride in her craft, lovingly stitching quilts that became treasured keepsakes for her family and friends.
Frankie was the devoted wife of the late Michael Wright and the loving mother of four daughters: Susan (Jim), Stephanie, Denise (Chris), and Jeannie (Mike). She was the proud grandmother of ten and great-grandmother of ten. She is also preceded in death by her parents, Aloise and Frank Kirschner, and her brother, Bobby.
Frankie’s life was a beautiful testament to compassion, generosity, and faith. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
