Panchita, as she was affectionately known to her family, friends and co-workers, spent 32 years as a teacher’s aide with the Eagle Pass Independent School District. Most of her work was done at the Early Childhood Development Center. Through her dedicated service, she touched the lives of many co-workers, peers and students. She was indeed proud to have taught several generations of children from the same families. She attended St. Joseph’s Catholic Church regularly and was active in a prayer group.

Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas, where she will rest eternally with her beloved husband, Mauricio Carrion (1996).
