Francisco R. Mendoza, age 59, of Austin, was called home to be with his heavenly Father on September 17, 2007, he was surrounded by his wife and his children, after a very brief but courageous battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Hilda Mendoza; son, Francisco J. Mendoza and wife Joann; daughters, Norma Angeles and husband Richard, Judy Salinas and husband Richard; mother, Virginia R. Mendoza; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother, Victor Mendoza and wife Josie; sisters, Lydia Mendoza and Virginia L. Mendoza; sister-in-law Aurora Mendoza; numerous nieces and nephews. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, September 18, 2007 at Wilke-Clay-Fish Funeral Home, 2620 S. Congress Avenue, Austin, Texas. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Wednesday, September 19, 2007 at Dolores Catholic Church.
