Well Daddy Frank,
I knew that you passed a long time ago and it's taken me a while to come to terms.
I hope that you turned your life over to God in your final days I know you struggled with alcoholism and you helped others get through alcoholism.
Your behaviors and actions along with those of my mother ruined our family life for these things I forgive you I hope that you're afterlife is good.
Somewhere I saw I should leave a favorite memory and I guess the only favorite memory I really have was sitting on your lap when I was about 7 years old and you said to me do you love me do you like me if you could change anything what would it be and I said to you Daddy Frank I love you a lot better when you're not drunk. You were a very functional alcoholic but you were also very abusive to our family as I said I forgive you but I wanted you to know that in many areas I looked up to you you are a good example of what a man should do to support his family both mentally and financially my family's bad was not just because of you you did cause a lot of trouble but I feel you got involved in trouble that had already began somewhere else this is why I can forgive you I wish that your alcoholism had not got physical with my mother but you did and I hope she forgave you for that have a wonderful peaceful rest and may God have mercy on your soul at 59 I have learned that life isn't that easy and I should have listened to you when I was in my twenties when you said if you want to live a normal life get away from your family. But unfortunately that also meant you but I'm glad that this memorial is still up and I hope that my communication with you and your spirit brings some peace because like I said over and over I do forgive you.
Not so biological stepson you know who I am and I know who I am so I'm not going to include a name for privacy reasons.


Frank...you helped me like no other person could. I could always count on you. I'm alive today because of you. I'm healthy today because of God and his work through you. Godspeed, my friend. I know I'll see you again. I'll miss your wit, colorful language and insight. Thank you for your interest in people that no one else cares about.



A man of true integrity and a wit for words and wisdom.  I listened while you told me so much of your life, and I surrendered to my God with you in the beginning of my recovery..both of us on our knees.    Sometimes your words and actions astonished me, but I knew you, and knew your heart bled for those you wanted so badly to "get it"...like me.  You believed in me like no other.  Never once did I hesitate to tell you how much I loved you...you will remain in my heart forever, my dear, beloved friend.    Thank you, Frank, for everything you did for my life.



Hi Frank...  I know your real happy there in heaven, and that alot of folks are real glad to have you there with them now.  But I'm gonna miss you.  You've been a constant in my recovery.  I'll miss your hugs, and your face, and the things you'd say...oh the things you'd say!  Lots of people are real sad now Frank.  Including me cause I don't want to drive up to WT and never see you there anymore.  I love you Cowboy Frank.  Thank you for helping me and loving me and being the unique person that helped me believe I too am a very loved child of God.  See you someday at the big meeting in the sky...



Frank made me truly believe that I am who God intended me to be and that I am a valuable person. I will miss his wisdom and his straightforward attitude.



Frank was a friend I could always talk to. He always took time to help his fellow man. I will miss his wisdom and compassion.



My condolences go out to Franks friends and family. I have a business out by where Frank had some horses a few years back and he would come by and talk and share some real life stories about the experiences that he had in life.He helped guide me through some troubling moments in MY life with his spiritual words of wisdom. I will never forget Frank Hughes. What a man he became to be in his latter years of life.  God Bless Him



This is one man I will never forget. He was the angel that God gave to me to guide my life in recovery for 19 months thanks to the experiences he shared with me. I've met lots of people in recovery,Frank is a man I will never forget. He put an impression on me with the words of his wisdom that probably have saved my life.
