Even as a child, Dr. Frank Joseph Siebenaler Jr. had a reputation as a rascal and a jokester. His fun-loving streak and ability to make others laugh or groan are among the traits his friends and loved ones will remember most fondly, along with his love of rock ‘n’ roll, dancing, the San Antonio Spurs basketball team, and his family.
Dr. Frank Siebenaler, 62, died December 22, 2015, at his home in Austin, leaving behind his life partner and former business partner, Sylvia A. Martinez, his daughter; Kristina “Kiki” Shakti Siebenaler, sons; Jai Hanuman and Amar Josef, grandson; Samson Siebenaler and granddaughters; Saylor Weaver, and Sparrow and Sunny Driver, sister; Phyllis Schmid and brothers; Paul, John and Donald Siebenaler. He was preceded in death by parents, Col. Frank Joseph and Louise Talbot Siebenaler, and his brother Alan.
Born at Royal Air Force Station Sculthorpe in Norfolk, England, Dr. Frank Siebenaler was raised in San Antonio, where he graduated from Central Catholic High School as an all-star member of the 1971 state champion football team. He earned a doctor of chiropractic degree in 1986 and devoted his 30-year career to helping patients live healthier, pain-free lives. Frank loved watching college and professional basketball or shooting hoops and enjoyed traveling to places such as New Mexico and San Francisco. But he most loved spending time with his family and his partner, Sylvia whom he called Peanuts.
